yukine lixue

Yukine for the most part is a stoic, awkward and shy boy. His introverted personality plays hand-in-hand with his otherwise quiet demeanor. At first glance he typically sticks out in crowds of commonfolk in most places in Etheirys despite his very obvious and very poor attempts to blend in. He can come off pretty simple, one dimensional even — usually at the fault of his reserved and quiet demeanor; he'll often be found shyly stuttering and stammering sheepishly, especially around more forward and bold individuals. Despite this he nonetheless manages himself as best he can whenever put in social situations and/or any engagements in general that he generally sucks at.

ㅤP E R S O N [ A ] L I T Yㅤ
Generally his way of speaking tends to gravitate to softer, monotone — almost outright deadpan, this sometimes get's mistaken for disinterest or even rudeness but anyone who sticks around eventually realizes he's actually a bit dorky and for the most part just a shy and sheepish boy. He's even curious to a fault, his nosiness and general pursuit for knowledge often times getting him into trouble of varying kinds.
For the most part, Yukine excels in thing's like tech, magic and stuff of that nature — however despite this whatever he may excel at way beyond his years he fails at completely when faced with social cues or social interactions In general. It all tends to go over his head — intimacy in particular — jokes, flirting, advances etc. will often times present as landing as intended, he might even seemingly encourage it or respond exactly as someone would want but In reality It wasn't caught by him as intended at all.

◂ Despite his background and mixed roots he has very little knowledge on Viera, Othardian, Turali or even Hyuran customs, traditions etc. Most of it has been kept from him — because of this he'll often times come off uncharacteristic curious towards topics surrounding it, almost to a fault, a consistent habit with him — sides of his personality he thinks he keeps to himself slipping through from time to time.

◂ Outside of jobs and work where he tries to keep a more stoic persona he's quite shy and quiet though an underlying dry, even sarcastic humor hides under it all.
└ He's actually very fond of cute things: drawings, plushies, clothing, toys or even animals — sometimes slipping up and coming off uncharacteristically child-like in his enjoyment and curiosity over them. Though it's not often seen and very often followed by a flushed wave of embarrassment and dismissal when he realizes.

As a mage his general build aligns with what one would 'expect' of one for the most part. That said his frame holds a bit more to it than your average mage — a far stretch from being considered overtly muscular or 'big' but enough to not present as 'lanky' or outright lithe. Though it's not really noticeable in passing those with a keener eye may pick up that he's a bit softer than your typical Midlander man in the face too. Mostly at the hands of his mixed features presenting subtly, often times making him come off "prettier" and a bit more youthful than one might think outright given his experience etc.

Despite his intention being to blend in and be mostly unnoticeable in crowds his preference in clothing and overall features tend to make him stick out fairly easily. Modern designs, high quality textures and consistently even tech based gear being sported by him betray any attempt to blend in with the commonfolk despite his sometimes delusional stance that he's just "another average adventurer".

◂ Regarding his appearance - He's mixed between Hyur and Viera. Aside from subtle features there's nothing that typically sets him apart visually to other Midlanders..
└ He potentially uses Glamour Magicks to hide his more obvious mixed features though he's never admit to it so it could just be rumors.

◂ When asked about what he does for work he'll often dodge the question citing himself as another wannabe Adventurer with some odd jobs here and there as all he does.

◂ Despite his build and disposition he is very capable in combat, able to keep up with even the most physical of the offensive arts though given said build and nature — his durability struggles when faced with prolonged physical situations.
└ because of this his focus is generally on speed and creative approaches, as a versatile Combat Medic and Mage he has the stamina to back up speedy and nimble actions just not the durability to take on much physical without preparing for it w/ magic etc.

◂ Purely as a result of association he has underground ties that run relatively deep because of his father. Usually that for the most part is kept under wraps as he doesn't like the affiliation.

◂ While able to hide his weapons with magick and summon them at will among other misc. things. If ever seen and questioned about him wielding nouliths in particular he'll often dodge the question — even more when pressed about any affiliation to Sharlayan given the Sage arts being developed there alongside it's soul crystals of which he is a carrier of one as well.

◂ Despite his proficiency in Pictomancy he doesn't particularly fancy himself an artist by any means, often explaining that he fell into the art because of getting wrapped up in a mess brought onto him by a Moogle he stumbled into in Gridania and his proficiency in magic allowing him to master the art with ease, much to his dismay and to the Moogles joy.

A short-tempered woman who shares the same affinity for magick as Yukine and their mother.

Following not far behind her mothers intelligence work, she lives as an agent for hire, with a focus on espionage. Often morally gray in nature she generally pretends to be a typical "Adventurer" despite the guilds numerous attempts to find her and question that statement — given her being on none of their records anywhere.

She is the only Family member with consistent contact with Yukine, albeit much like their mother — not in-person. She is very close to him, often found suggesting more out-of-character things of him to get him to broaden his experiences as well as just in-general spoiling him with gifts and various things she finds like clothing, gear, food etc.

She maintains a tumultuous relationship with Yukine's father, often butting heads whenever found around each other. She herself has no recollection of her own father but she nonetheless does not accept her stepfather (Yukines father) and often finds herself in seemingly endless hostility with him. Cursing him for his lack of direct involvement in Yukine's life and for his dark underground ties resulting in trouble for the family as a whole.

At her mothers request she often speaks vaguely of Viera customs and tradition to Yukine to avoid him exposing his mixed background to anyone for fear of discrimination or worse.

A soft-spoken women with an oddly specific and strong affinity for magick. After leaving the forest with her children and ensuring their safety she quickly adapted to life outside of the forest and became closely tied to intelligence work.

These days she holds no direct affiliation to any specific group but her skills as an informant and her general ties have many people seeking her out, despite this she spends most of her time helping out needy adventurers and communities she comes across.

Having been raised as most traditional Viera she is far sturdier than one might imagine at first glance and has no reservations on more brute-force approaches if magick is not the ideal, despite that she is a very good-natured and playful woman.

Despite keeping very close contact with her children, her wandering — almost nomadic tendencies tend to result in in-person interactions being pretty rare.

That being said, Yukine get's plenty of gifts and misc. things including ideas from his mother and she often loves hearing back on recipes and spells as well as his own creative discoveries. She often remarks keeping an eye on the family from afar, mostly for her own fun.

A hearty man with a questionable past and equally questionable morals. No stranger to getting up to "no good" wherever he might be despite his generally "nice" and "friendly" looking appearance.

He currently resides in the new world after spending years in the underworld scene in Othard. Being half Othardian and Turali he is very familiar with both sides of the world and has dealings and connections in plenty more, often to his benefit.

It's unsure if he was caught up in the happenings in Solution Nine when it happened but he's found there now often visiting between Tuliyollal and Solution Nine.

He holds no ill-will towards his son but their relationship is a gray area, often times keeping things strictly business if ever met with one another. Despite this his affiliations and connections have gotten Yukine and the family as a whole into trouble just as often as they've benefit from them. Because of this he doesn't see anything wrong in it and often dismisses any talk surrounding it.

Unsure how to parent or father in any capacity he's recently taken to gifting after reconnecting with Yukine's mother — after spending years with little involvement in any of their lives. Seemingly platonic in his new connection with her and the family as a whole.

ㅤNON-CON/DUBCON & CONSENT THEMESㅤ While I'm open to the more aggressive sides of these themes with the right people I will say I generally lean towards more of the coercive, seductive, or sensual angle when it comes to this over something outright extreme or purely/mindlessly aggressive etc.

ㅤSPHㅤ Fair bit under average. Some light SPH is welcomed, though ideally more appreciative, doting or with objectification and bullying in mind rather than aggressive, demeaning and rude without any reason.

ㅤON DIRTINESS AND MUSKㅤ One of those things that is sorta within reason I guess? Can be stretched either way depending on chemistry and literacy but usually it leans more to the realm of "the days" worth or two, never really about explicit dirt and grime like weeklong+ smells etc. .

ㅤNAIVETYㅤ Despite being well read and knowledgeable on things that seemingly should be beyond him, one of the things he completely fails in is intimacy. Naive and Inexperienced, flirting goes over his head with complete ease, often times leading to him ending up in said intimate scenarios. Welcome to take advantage of that.

Right, so - I'll start off by saying right off the bat — I'm pretty shy and introverted. Socializing in general is pretty draining.Large friend groups and the ever-popular (though vehemently denied) cliques within the communities social spaces just aren't something I seek out - I usually do better in 1 on 1 situations and depending on chemistry sometimes I can be open to groups from time to time too.Despite everything though I recognize it's pretty essential to meet new people and engage with others If I want to RP so feel free to approach either way as comfortably as you'd like, I know my limitations and also understand what is expected in order for RP to happen and connections in general to develop as well so while I'll stumble and stutter and stammer away I will nonetheless try my best.Don't let these facts keep you from pestering as much as you'd like. I will always stand by preferring an annoying level of interest over none at all.

Over my time on here I've developed pretty good communication skills. I would like to make note that I like to use tomephones, as now that it's been a bit more normalized canonically I am a bit more confident In openly using them but if that's something that bothers you just let me know so I can sub in things like linkpearls instead.

Not a fan of strict length — write what needs to be written. I'll usually mimic since I don't have any specific type I default but again will generally try to keep it all as needed were not getting any bonus points for that extra sentence.

Mainly targeted to ERP Alts. If your going to participate in the "fun" have the decency to do it on main. Very little interest in low-level/throwaway characters aside from specific situations where exceptions make sense.

In regard to blurred lines upfront — I'm in a relationship.That being said — my relationship is OPEN — with that comes liberties me and my boyfriend have thoroughly discussed and agreed to, so you don't have to worry there.

In general, I will gravitate to being a wallflower, I people watch and/or leave myself in spaces (XIV, Discord, F-List etc.) where I might be approached. Me approaching is generally very rare and more often than not pretty haphazard and messy as the only times I manage the courage to walk up to anybody in regards to this sort of thing—has typically been because I'm just sleep deprived enough to be acting a bit out of character enough to step out of my comfort zone, really got my big boy boots on to do it or truthfully [redacted] enough to go out of my way to be that bold.Being shy, introverted and also being an RPer is a very silly combo I will admit—but in the XIV Community I've found it to be a bit of a normal thing so... don't really think it's that big of a deal. It is what It is.
